Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan from Baazigar has had many super hits in his career. But Baazigar has a special place in his movies.
This movie gave a superb turn to his career. Shilpa Shetty also started her successful career with this movie only. Abbas- Mastan duo directed this movie. Abbas-Mastan were inspired by a British Film A Kiss Before Dying while narrating Baazigar.
But instead of copying each and every scene they took only the movie base line about the murder and making it look like a suicide. In A Kiss Before Dying the hero kills his lover to leave her and exposes that as suicide. Then he loves her twin sister. He is an university going poor guy. To become a rich person only he loves that rich girl but kills her.
In Baazigar, Abbas-Mastan added the revenge concept. This was made to receive good response in India. Actually A Kiss Before Dying was also not an original. That was also inspired by a novel with the same name which was written by Ira Levin. In A Kiss Before Dying Sean Young played a dual role. In Bollywood both characters were played by Shilpa Shetty and Kajol. Abbas-Mustan was inspired by Goodbye Lover for the movie Race.
